Exercise for Clients with Cognitive Challenges
Physical activity and daily exercise is essential for physical health and brain health. Accelerated cognitive decline is experienced by individuals who are inactive and sedentary. For clients with mild cognitive decline, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease personalized exercise programs are designed to maximize functional fitness, slow down age-and disease-related declines to remain functionally independent for as long as possible.
Caretaker Facilitated Personalized Exercise Plans
Another option to ensure the older adult client receive the needed exercise to maintain physical function and slow down cognitive decline is with Caretaker Facilitated Personalized Exercise Plans that are updated once a month or bimonthly by the health fitness professional. The caretaker assists client with daily physical activity and exercise according to the plan which can be provided for each day of the week. The healthfulness professional can adjust the program accordingly. This type of arrangement is beneficial for the client with financial considerations.

Caretaker Assisted Virtual Personalized Training Sessions
This type of training is possible for the client with physical, cognitive limitations, and/or at increased fall risk who should not be exercising independently. Client will be able to complete personalized training virtually under close supervision and guided by the health fitness professional due to location or financial consideration. Virtual training is priced lower than in-person and in-home training.
Clinical Exercise Programs
To maximize health outcomes our personal trainers often train clients who simultaneously receive Home Health Services, Outpatient Physical Therapy, or cancer treatment.

Transitioning from Physical Therapy
A continuum of focused exercise is needed to retain function and skills gained through physical therapy. Stopping or reducing the exercise regimen will result in a decline in function and fitness. Specialized personal training programs help clients not only maintain function but also optimize fitness, health and slow down age-related and/or disease-related declines in function.

Palliative Exercise
Patients with life-limiting illnesses often experience functional impairment, resulting in poorer quality of life. Studies have shown that exercise can improve physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing, which all help maintain independence.
